I've watched the video but still don't get something:brI have about $3000 in "Cash and Money Market" but the broker marked some of the purchases as "marginable" and looks like I'll be paying interest on those Why is the broker not using cash from "Cash and Money Market"? What is a negative “position equity” on thinkborswim Is this because I bought with more than I had cash available? I do not have a margin account, cash only I got stopped out of a large position and immediately repurchased (big mistake), when I should have waited two days for the trade and cash to settle I also received a good faith violation email (strike one) Oops Will this negative position equity eventually disappear as the trade settles? Why is my cash balance now negative? Did my brokerage lend me margin I didn’t ask for? I have now learned that I should ignore the balance for “amount available for trading” and instead use the value shown in “cash available for withdrawal” They should change their software to only show the latter value on the trade screen, mobile app

In the very first example you say not tu use all your buying power? There you use only your 10k of the 20k you can get with leverage 1:4 So you have another 10k buying power at disposal or is it just that you simply choosed to use only 1:2 leverage?
