I get buying on margin if you can't find what you want in a leveraged product But is there another reason not to go through a leveraged product over a loan? This year I played with a Nvidia 3X leveraged etf because I didn't understand why take the margin risk

If I use margin just to be able to put in low GTC orders hoping that someday (until GTC expires) they execute, there's no risk? What I mean is with about zero cash, I put in like 10 different orders at low(er) prices and if anything executes I cover same day?

Margin daytrading is incredibly beneficial, but inexperienced traders should never use this tool I have normally not used margin, but now am experimenting more with it, and realizing the added potential Because I am so experienced and focused on intraday chart patterns, I reliably find special patterns which offer excellent timing for daytrade profits Works very well for me But for novices any margin trading should be firmly avoided It is just too dangerous to the health of the account

Here's two questions:brbr1 This interest rate that you mentioned above, depending on the size of your account Is that a one-time interest rate taken from your account for the loan you borrowed or is it a yearly interest rate In other words, if you never sell any of your securities for years, will the broker take their interest every year over the course of a decade, just because the loan is still activebrbr 2 If I began margin trading, and I borrowed 2,000 from the Charles Shwab, if a few weeks later I deposited the 2,000, not real change occurred to my equity balance, will that newly deposited 2,000 go directly to the margin loan I borrowed from Shwab In other words, if I was margin trading a week ago, and I did not want to get pay the interest, could I just deposit more money the following week to get rid of the margin loan Or the interest will always be subtracted from the account at the end of the year?

When my account with Schwab was new, I had funds available for trading immediately after initiating a transfer from USAA I'm not sure what happened, but I noticed several months ago I have to wait a day or two for the transfer to complete It can be somewhat frustrating when I want to make a trade immediately

margin rates are so trash; also I hate the fact that they can margin call you I wish there was a way for me to just get a loan on my investments and just pay if off slowly without that risk
