As someone who buys both jewellery, bullion and numismatic coins, i think the coins are a good investment as in the future they will increase in value especially with the history of the coins and the increase of the prices of both silver and gold

Personally, I avoid these sellers, everytime I sent a Coin for consignment they made lower quality scans to sell my coins at their auctions for less money than their other item scans? I gave up with this vendor

I collect for hobby today and something nice to leave my nephew one day This is the 3rd time I watched this video It's the best on this subject I' ve found This time because I've built up a nice collection over a couple of years and am ready to begin looking for more important pieces Nothing too crazy but I'm still missing a Julius Caesar denarius for example I started late and wanted to make up for lost time and your videos have helped me in many ways Ty again BTW, that Faustina II is gorgeous

I would buy a lot of gold roman coins, because i love gold coins, the mind blowing history, and because romans had a big presence in my city Braga (Bracara augusta) and also use to mine gold here in the north of portugal (tresminas) , if you visit North of Portugal you can visit roman gold mine very well preserved and see tunnels and the way they carry the gold etc But i am also thinking in this like a investment against inflation of Euro(i think Euro cloud lose all value in the future do to hyper inflation), a way to hide money from government, and a way to store value All this doing a thing that i like, even if i lose some money trying to sell ( and i would only sell if i really needed the money) i think i will not regret That is what i am thinking right now, about my strategy

I absolutely adore my Ancient Greek and Roman coins My oldest is an Ionian, Miletus obol with a Lion on the obverse and a stellate pattern on the reverse It’s from the late 6th-5th centuries BC And NGC graded it MS Strike: 5/5 and Surface: 5/5 Every time I look at it as well as my other ancients, I am transported back to the ancient world

Collecting is spending money without spending That leaves open, all there is to collect! In short I really don't want to know how much my coins and paper money are worth And of course buying is easy, but selling not necessarily so straightforward Ask any dealer

I stumbled upon the Roman inflation earlier this year in a history course on Youtube, which made me want to trade my financial assets for physical ones, which led me back to ancient coins I don't expect to profit but at least I can touch history and enjoy my small but growing collection if things go bad

every year i buy 20-40 coins (mostly ancient)in 17 years i've sold 3but i always think of resale value for every coin i buy just in caseand i ain't gonna live forever :P:D

I always thought my complete original vinyl collection of 70s bands 'Smokie' and 'The Rubettes' would be worth quite a few gold drachma by now - unfortunately that is very far from the case - at present - but I am still hopeful
