I sold an expensive bottle of fragrance (this was back in the beginning of the pandemic) The buyer reached out to me about 2 months later and complained that the fragrance was a fake (which is weird because I worked for the fragrance company lol), and said he wanted his money back I said you’ve had it for two months for one and two it’s clearly stated on my eBay page “No Returns” Well stupid me didn’t pay attention to my eBay account with everything going on in the world and eBay authorized the money out of my account and I never even got the fragrance back🤬 I was beyond pissed…but it was too late

Its not even just this, they are an absolutely terrible company with zero untegrity even for the buyerbrbrEbay international recently slashed up my item when they opened it to inspect it I'm talking 6 good knife marks all over the front of my $1000 item I didn't want to return the item as even with the scratches I got a good deal, and it would have been at the seller's expense??? so I just requested a partial refund from Ebay to compensate for negligence and damage They agreed 4 or 5 phonecalls later and they basically told me to shove it Zero accountability with this company You are at their mercy no matter what, and so I avoid them like the plague

Can you not just opt and not accept returns? I know that there is an option on ebay I want to declutter my closet and sell out what I don’t use So I am just me selling, not planning to be a small business

At some point some smart lawyer and group of sellers is going to be able to pierce the seller agreement and sue eBay for being an accomplice to fraud They know this happens and they do absolutely nothing about it, and they profit from it That IMO is a criminal act

Happen to me last week with a gun holster Just have to tell eBay that you will be filling out a fraud claim with the post master general and they cave everytime

That happened to me with a Wedgwood Jasper Teapot - this slag sent me back a battered old pos - so I issued a Small Claim through the UK courts for fraudIt was worth it just to know she was sweating over it and it went on for a quite some months Once I felt I had dealt out enough grief I let it slide ( in the UK they have the right to chose what court it gets heard in and it was ways to far away for me to be bothered )

Im going through this now Sold a Chanel WOC for $1,500, now buyer says it has damages on the corners, that wasnt there when I sent, ebay sided with them even after I spoke to them on the phone, and I have to refund the buyer Money is spent on my car Im not accepting a damaged a** purse, I will never sell on ebay againbrbrAnd by the way i had “seller does not accept returns” brbrEbay doesnt care

And so do you have to refund scammers even though they sent back their old shoes not the green ones you sold them? The only way to prevent this 100 is filming what you put into box and being sealed with buyers address whole process

Sad that ebay promotes fraudulent buyers and allows them to get away with theft at our expense Instead of respecting the integrity of an honest seller they cave in to thieves It just happened to me! My sandals were brand new and buyer opens case and takes pictures of her ratty, worn out shoes and claims "item not as described" Ebays handling these types of cases is truly abhorrent! After 13 yrs and 100 feedback, considering giving ebay the finger!!!
