We only went to the town hall and had a short ceremony there, signed the papers Close family and friends were there and after that we went to a restaurant and had some drinks Overall we paid 500€ for the whole day But next year to our 10thwedding anniversary I'd love to have a garden party with a renewal of our vows

My wife and I spent about $12000 in a large restaurant with around 100 guests She stood up in the middle of it, grabbed a microphone and said the wedding was a drag, that we were playing along like Hollywood movie, and that we should have rented a cheap community hall Her family was very upset! In retrospect we should have planned it as a couple instead of with her family Her family meant well and wanted to match the weddings to which they were invited in the past
