We got married in a castle 100 guests It cost £10,000 but I called in every favour I had and made everything bar the food myself I can sew made the bridesmaids dresses (all one size 1920's Vionnet style draped gowns -so no fittings needed and you drape to flatter the person on the day) simple CFW pearls and cufflinks from ebay We made centre pieces from Ikea/supermarket orchids and glassware and £3 round shaving mirrors from argos (which would have been £15 just to hire the mirrors from one place we were quoted)brEveryone had the same bbasic/b meal (which was fortunately excellent) or the vegan optionbrThere was a cash bar, but we also had bottles of wine and prosecco on the tablesbrThe biggest saver though was having the wedding out of the peak season which had a special discounted package, in late autumn but we went out side and had fireworks and a fire eater friend (another favour called in) do a show for us We had a costume masquerade ball for the partybrI wouldn't change a thing for any money It was perfect and people loved it Comment from : @promophobe69 |
