This video explains how the stock grows in value, but not how it has value in the first place I would say the simple explanation is: they are betting on which companies will make money to eventually pay out to the shareholders If you don’t think the company will keep making money, you might give up your percent for a lump sum

But how exactly does a company's revenue tie into their stock price? What if a company is making record profits, but no one wants the stock? The stock seems almost separate from the company, other than perceived value

So the actual revenue/net income a company generates does not reflect nor has anything to do with its value/share price directly Its all about traders/investors sentiments and how they assess the status quo/potential growth of this company!

Okay lets say that the aapl 1stock price goes to 1000$ and personA has one share he wants to sell it now to personB and after some months the 1stock price goes up to 2000$ and now he wants to sell to personC now the question is if the personC dont want to buy the stock and there is no other buyers so personB having the share price of 2000$ is waste ya
