I was a pharmacy tech at a pharmacy that shall remain nameless, but I developed ETD (Eustachian tube dysfunction) because of all the stress I was under when I worked as tech My left ear is permanently damaged as a result (and yes ETD can be caused by stress because symptoms happened when I was working in pharmacy) I would have panic attacks every morning before my shift started I was basically doing the work of 3 people Filling, answering phones, and the pick up counter, I was the only tech, when we really needed at least 2 or maybe 3 techs in order for the pharmacy to run efficiently I ended up being let go because I could no longer keep up Funny thing is the last two techs also got let go because they couldn't keep up eitherbrbrI eventually found another job as a sales rep for a brewery Not only does it pay better, It's a much less stressful position and I enjoy it so much more But working in pharmacy just epitomizes everything that is wrong with capitalism putting profits over people, overworking and understaffing all so that corperate can make more money unrealistic metrics, I will NEVER go back to working in Pharmacy, you could put a gun to my head and I still wouldn't go back Comment from : @zainfazal3369
