Bitcoin is just another worthless item someone said had value Since 1971 the dollar had value based on the price of gold No backing (gold, something very hard to come by) remove its gold backing, it turns into nothing more than a promise or valueless piece of paper having the value of several squares of toilet paper

the FIAT currency issue has been going on for 2500 years, not 100 years but yes they've all had 100 failure rate That indeed was why they turned to gold as a store of value through millennia BTC is just digital gold that doesn't have the same costs (storage & security) and 3rd party (custodians or vaults assigning it to others etc) risks as precious metals do
