Anybody watching this video should know that in 2024 interest rates on stock secured loans are averaging 95 to 10 so don’t think that it’s going to be 2 to 3… even if you give them $1 million in collateral you’re only gonna be maybe given 8 Back before the pandemic you should’ve probably gotten this 2 rate that he’s talking about but not anymore

One large piece of information about using your brokerage account with Schwab, fidelity, etc you must have a market worth of at least $1 million Anything under that and the brokerage won’t allow the bank to put the security agreement in place Not cool on the large brokerages

Say I borrowed 50 against my stock portfolio on Jan 1 2024 Say my stock portfolio decreases in value by 40 June 30, 2024… what affect, if any does it have on my loan? brAlso, say my interest rate is 5 and I buy a piece of land that produces no income can I pay the interest back from gains in my stock portfolio?

I'm not sure this video aged well Today (May 2023), the rate on that loan would likely be in the 5-6 range I believe these loans are floating rate tied to LIBOR or SOFR Does it still make sense when rates are at these levels?
