I beg to differ friend , been shooting a 22 bolt action since 1959 My dad could light kitchen matches from a fence post Bough a pawn shop 1022 ruger , missed fired Order a kit to fix it Went full blown brBuilding 10 22s last build was a Volquartsen about 1400 dollars in parts brSo accurate it is boring I still believe if you shoot a T Rex in the eyeballs he can be brought down

I love that old Mossberg Glad to see it on the list As for lists, there could have been many more, or multiple lists Some of my favorite are Winchester model 52 sporter and target rifles, Remington 513, 541, CZ 457, Ruger 77/22 and even the newer Ruger RAR rimfires and Savage MKII So many great 22lr bolt actions to be had Some of the more expensive models could include Kimber and Cooper as well

Most accurate factory sporter I own is an Anschutz 1710 D KL that will consistently shoot in the low 02’s at 50yds Next is my Cooper Jackson squirrel rifle Custom sporter is my Remington 581 built by Brian Voelker with a match Broughton barrel 1:17 twist and Canjar trigger set at 125lbs Very light rifle Next is my Clark custom Ruger 10-22 with a walther-lothar that will consistently shoot in the 04’s with Eley subsonic HP’s at 50yds

To this day my 452 MT is my single favorite 22cal bolt rifle Leupold Vx2 3-9x50 😅 a long-range tack driver from my days of youth you know back when 100yd 22 was a serious achievement, to this day it had put 3 first time shooters on the 8" at 100yd there first time out shooting

In the real world, I would have to count whatever action types I have br1, Marlin 39abr2, Marlin 60br3, Marlin 795ssbr4, Savage Mark2fbr5, Ruger American Rimfire 22"brBut really, it's difficult to put them in order, and I give honorable mention to the Remington 597 I sold to my brother All are very accurate if you take the time to find the right ammunition

My very first firearm was a Mossberg 346KC think I paid $79 for it back around 1968-1970-ish Kept it until 2022 when I sold it to a good friend looking for an accurate, dependable bolt action 22 Although I know this rifle went to a good owner and gets more use than I was providing, I still feel occasional pangs of regret over selling it

The cz American branch of 22 bolt action rifles are dirt cheap for the gun they produce My son has had a synthetic build for almost 4 years now with close to 4 thousand rounds through the barrel He has hit a 9 mil pistol round shell off of a stump from 250 yards with it, going to show you don’t need a crazy expensive gun to do amazing feats
