My dad took me to the NRA safety class when I was eleven, in 1965 and I've have owned dozens of rifles and handguns since After all these years, I finally bought a wood stock 10/22 last month I put a 4x12 scope on it and shot some CCI mini mag ammo at 50 yrd and it shot 600 five shot groups, quite to my surprise I'm going to upgrade w/trigger, chassi and 920 barrel to see what it can do

4:56 lol why do guys hold guns this way It's not even the most comfortable way to hold a rifle and it looks ridiculous Also if you get too used to shooting this way it's going to suck changing it up when you have a big enough scope in the way or if you have to use iron sights Either way, it's dumb and it looks REALLY dumb

Who ever the gent firing the AR at the end, really needs some instructions on weapon drills and position and hold technics, it was trully awfull watching the way he stood and even worse how he held that weapon, not to mention just doing a Beirut unload, isnt really showcasing the attributes of that weapon, that only showcased an unskilled amateur who is a danger to everone

I have 2 One, a Remington model 582, and a Montgomery Wards made in the 30s They are both tack drivers And they give me more flexibility than the bolt actions of today

I don't think a 22lr rifle or 17hmr should be sold using a fsc or any type of license The fact that the bullet is not that dangerous I believe 18 year olds can be able to buy them to use for target shootings I mean it's a small bullet Compared to a pcp gun that fires a 357 50 caliber pellets Those things are huge and can do more damage than a 22lr or a 17hmr bullet I believe that is the only gun that would be sold without a license or so However it is also useful for self defense I mean people would say no it's not but honestly it is definitely a self defense gun I mean the point is you don't wanna take away a person's life So I mean you basically wanna just try and injure that person who's in your property trying to break in A 9mm or higher would take away the persons life away quick which can lead the person to an arrest Injuring the person would leas you to court Sure chance are you might take away the persons life but it's not really clear whether it can take away the life of a person Not that it won't but it depends how the person feels getting shot with one 22lr or 17hmr bullet But a 50 pcp caliber pellet can instantly take the persons life away just one hit because the size can be higher than the 22lr or 17hmr

The first rifle my Dad got for me in the early '60s was a JC Higgins semi-auto 22 LR rifle with a 24" barrel It came with a factory scope and a metal case complete with cleaning kit It was highly accurate and very reliable I found out years later that it was a Marlin made for Sears, Roebuck & Co

If you're looking for a cheap yet good 22 I recommend the Rossi Rs22 I got mine from my local Dunham's for I believe 170$ I got two boxes of Aguila for a little over $10 and an extra mag online for about $20 It shot both Aguila and later CCI (both standard velocity) perfectly fine not a single malfunction or failure to feed Just plz be careful when disassembling people have had issues breaking their recoil springs but there are plenty of videos that can help you from doing that All in all a great rifle for not a whole lot of money

a semi-auto magazine fed 22LR eliminates any levering bias by a shooter for any source (game is waiting after a miss, in a hurry, etc) A semi-auto allows for repeated shots immediately and a rabid animal may require 2 or more shots to ensure it is killed quickly
