People, the advice is simple common sensethe main advantage Buffet enjoys is almost a limitless reservoir of cash to invest in via his insurance companiesthe average investor doesn't have that Something to keep in mind brbrBut if you have extra cash, you are better off finding a good stock based on Buffet's advice and investing it and leaving it I remember my parents were able to buy a brand new car, cash, from selling ONE stock that they purchased years ago and sold during a bull marketit was a good stock with solid fundamentals that had a long history of paying great dividends and appreciating Comment from : @dragonchr15 |

I just read the book and I'm a little confused brDid they mix up current liabilities with current assets?brOn page 70 they say [quote] "Current liabilities" means the money that is owed within a year, which includes cash and short-term investments, total inventory, total receivables and prepaid expenses[quote end]brAren't these 'asset' items? Most active investors and hedge funds can't consistently YOY beat the market, even though they know all of this and even more In the long run, you have a better chance by just buying a total market ETF than managing your own portfoliobrbrNevertheless, these videos are good and entertaining Comment from : @streettrialsandstuff |

I really wonder why Buffet preffers low R&D spending because usually, if R&D scales with earnings growth and certain indicators, it can be indicating future growth in the company's new projects (if its already consistent in the statements, growth, and qualitative things like customer satisfaction) Comment from : @allenp8165 |

Interesting, but Samsung and Huawei aren't really good comparisons because they both operate in many other industries (Samsung also operates in construction, chemicals, shipbuilding, military equipment) which in turn means that the profitability structure is different than Apple Similarly, Huawei has some larger infrastructure projects that Apple doesn't have While the video itself is great and really informative, there are slightly more to it in the comparison with Samsung and Huawei Comment from : @Lucasg35400 |
