I guess to make real gold using gem trading will have to be from perfect square onwards Selling chipped rubies and making 500-1000 gold per sale is a bit slow You can farm that in a few minutes with just casual gold drops

Have you tried buying more than one, say when ruby's are selling for 100 each, buy 200 or 300 and try to resell them?

Yes, gems as well as crafting mats are commodities and are under suspension right now (that's why nothing shows up when you search) I hope they don't change it so that it's the same way it is with equipment, meaning it lists the amount and the price for each
