 I once had a fake pound coin in my change,Knew it was fake,Start of with,It was much lighter in weight,Could bend the coin,I also done a test with it as well,Had a normall pound coin,Dropped it,It bounced on the floor,The fake pound coin dropped and did not pounce,Also had a fake 20 note as well some years ago,Knew it was fake as well due to how the printing was done on it,The foil strip was not the same as the original 20 pound note

 The newest ones do get the die orientation spot on However they still struggle on poor Edge lettering and blotchy/faded details Although better they are still strikingly different to the genuine article
