You know Chris, I was supposed to get my masters in English over ten years ago I didn't follow through though In hindsight, I feel okay about it because it would've taken me three years to complete and a lot of pocket money only to find that anyone can take an online course to get a certificate in a matter of days or weeks and will be accepted in most foreign school for the same rate of pay I would've gotten, though my education would've been superior I did end up getting one of those certificates and it took two days if I remember correctly Three years vs two days Smh Comment from : @NoirHammer |

I don't consider the tradiional grammar teavhing is wrong because it worked for me for example, but there are other styles that could complement this traditional view very much! I recently realized it's hard for me to teach grammar, because there's a thin line between not giving enough information and giving over information, but this hleped a lot Tyvm Comment from : @larazonporlaque923 |

Interesting video: Is it more for EFL or ESL? Teachers with degrees or without? Why not begin with topic first? Let the topic input (reading and listening) and student input determine the grammar structures (it will never be one structure) to be taught Our field has been moving towards theme-based instruction and integrated skills for many years, so why determine grammatical structures first? Thanks Comment from : @oldworldmeetsnewworldwitha4749 |

I am sooooo happy I found This Teacher Chris :) and the amazing video by him on teaching Grammar As a new ESL teacher teaching first time with my own lesson material independently , I am and was struggling with the best way to teach grammar and was doing it wrong!! I think Chris has nailed it so well when he says " its about usage", so dont teach all grammar points, pick one or two and really think about activation stage in advance, plus never make it the topic itself as it is boring and what I was doing ! so excited to see the rest of the videos ! Fan from first video Thank you for making this video, no grammar books or tefl course teaches this ( atleast mine didn't)! Comment from : @mariyamhaque3432 |
