Starting on duolingo is awesome But yes, it shouldnt be all a person does After 6 months I spend about 40 on duo with independent read, learn news words, and listen to stories

I have been using duo lingo for over 3 years and I am not even half way through it And it is a good platform to learn whatever language you are learning as long as you memorize all or most words and you can utilize these words into actual useful sentences, unlike,”whose robot ate my cake” , or “my dog is unemployed and he has only one eye” 🙄

I learned Latin in school and I´m still regretting it I wish I had chosen Spanish because I feel like it would have been "easier" to learn (and to maintain!) since there are SO many resources You can practise reading, speaking, listening through books, podcasts, music, talking to others etc but Latin? Latin is primarily used in books I had a hard time learning it since I couldn´t actively use and practise it I want to learn some Korean and Thai first but Spanish (Castilian) is also a language I want to "master" someday
