Garrett, do the Airlines STILL pay the Flight Attendants pennies??? Maybe 25 years ago I was unemployed and needed a job My friend Kathy was a Charter Co-ordinator for Continental Airlines and forced me to take the Flight Attendant Test in Newark, NJ The flight attendants ONLY got paid IN the air for $15 dollars an hour !! Some of the Staff Flight Attendants informed me that day that they ALL lived like 8 ladies in an apartment and the last 10-15 days of the month; they were waiting when flights arrived at the gate, SO they could RUSH onto the incoming flight and GRABANY extra food after the passengers got OFF the plane !! They were BROKE 2 weeks into the month, but could fly for $15 bucks USA & $25 bucks Inter-Nationally !! So HAPPY I failed the interview that day !!

Its crazy how just 10 years ago steak and shake wouldn’t hire me because of a small neck tattoo, or anyone with a tattoo that can be seen when wearing uniform, but now , you can but a pilot and have tattoos that you can see wearing your uniform, even the military denied me because of a small neck tattoo

Trip rig is 3:1 so 40 hours TAFB would actually pay 1333 That would be a lot of TAFB for a two day so the trip rig protects you a bit

Wow As a 4 year FO at AAL in the 90’s, I was bringing in $31 per hour, with a 83 hour max I didn’t earn $213 per hour until year 27, as 767 captain! Glad it’s better now, but be sure to save, as things in the airlines can go to hell fast!?

Transitioning to the 777 right seat won't maximize your credits vs time away from base You're going to go to London more than you would ever care to and being a JFK/NYC based FO means a 5-6hr eastbound flight and a 6-7hr westbound with a nearly 24 hour sit in London That's call it 13 hours flight time and 37hrs away from base Like 033 ratio Almost as bad as the PHX 2 day you mentioned

The best pilots focus on improving their skillsets as both PF and PM Talking(kinda gloating)about money and days off, etc is just BS and boring As if to say, “Look at me…” Being a professional pilot is the absolute best career choice one can make But, its mainly because it will challenge you every day to hold yourself and your performance to the highest standards Yes, the money and benefits are fantastic This video seems to be for that Gen Z group that prefer the money and days off mindset though…

Not enough for what you are worth I worked as a legal secretary for 30 years Lawyers make at least $500 an hour- the big firms charge thousands of folllwrs an hour- snd all they do is sit in their office while we do the work It was one of the things that outraged me when I started, the guy I worked for in 1978 charged $275,00 an hour and he played golf half the time
