My father actually handed me Spanish Shipwreck Escudo from the 1714 or around there… his father got it from off the coast of Florida I know some story of it in think Something about when the Spanish had control of Florida around those times and the ship got caught in the storm…brbrAnyway! I actually had the coin appraised at a specialist and they were actually very excited about it even though I had little knowledge about it They said that the purity of it was high like around 22k gold… the cold still had a lot of its markings such as the Royal Crest of Spain and it was in good condition… they wanted to make sure it wasn’t a fake coin made by someone so they did more research on it Turns out it’s legit…brbrPrice they gave me was around $14,000… Did I sell it? Noooo!!! I started taking an interest in my Spanish History and I gained more interest and became addicted to its history… I started watching more history on Spain and their battle with England and such Can you believe that the only reason why the Spanish Armada lost was because the wins were against them? Otherwise, Spain might have dominated everything and things will be different todaybrbrI started watching more movies on Pirates of the Caribbean and other historical stuff Even though pirates of the Caribbean is not historically accurate But I did like Pirates of the Caribbean on stranger tides Spanish had a bad azz intro in the movie… I decided to keep the coin and put it in my safety deposit boxes I actually became so obsessed with it and how good it looked that I decided that one day I will probably want to be buried with it It may sound like a waste of money, but money comes and goes This point is history and maybe one day I’ll probably give it to a museum or something I don’t know about giving it to any of my offspring because I’m afraid in today’s day and age, they’ll just sell it and use the money for more Fortnite skins Comment from : @HazbinHotelStaff |

It's very hard to find a figure on the amount of gold on board the Atocha, but it wasn't much They all give the gold and silver combined weight After much reading I did find that there were only 121 gold coins on board There were also some gold chains Comment from : @robertbrandywine |
