My bf recently moved in with me and he likes to cookso maybe we're saving some money on food? I was pretty awful about getting takeout b/c while living alone and working 2 jobs, it was a lot more difficult to shop, prep, cook and clean for just myself The rent being split is helpful, but we were both working 2 jobs previously and might end up going back to that I did it for nearly 15 years (while caring for my elderly mother) and he did for 7 Caring for my mother ended up meaning that I had to drop my whole life and move across 9 states so she could be closer to her sister It wiped out my savings and put me into debt that I now need to dig out of But I definitely appreciate your insights amd advice and hope to implement some of your ideas to help get out of debt and rebuild my savings faster

If I can save $5,000 a year Anyone can I make $2050 an hour as a cnc operator I’m aloud to work 10 hours over time so I end up with $850 net a week Garbage And yet I save $200 a week on payday for at least 40 of the weeks in a year Ends up around 8,000 a year It would be 10,000 but if not aloud to work all 52 weeks of the year So I’m sure what everyone says is true and most people are making at least 30$ an hour I mean everyone I see brags about it So if you can’t save 5,000 in a year, you probably shouldn’t have financed that vehicle, you probably shouldn’t have bought that expensive house, you probably shouldn’t have bought that Louis Vuitton outfit This opinion excludes people who have to pay medical bills for there children That’s about it I’m the lowest paid employee I know and I can do it It’s become easy to not indulge myself One time I had holes in my work shoes for over a year and was afraid to buy new ones because if I did, that’s $20-$50 less I’d be saving Feels irresponsible when the ones I was wearing still did the job
