When I was 3 or 4 years old, I had a purple game boy color and Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins I played the CRAP out of that game! Sadly, I no longer have my childhood game boy color, but I still have the same copy of the game This game will forever hold a special place in my heart

the bad thing about this game is that if you lose all your lives u lost all your 6 golden coins so u have 2 start all over and beat the 6 bosses all over sgain if you wanna go through warios castle

Ehh I had it when it was brand new and even I felt that it wasn't a faithful mario game It was the best at the time (until SML2 came out) so a LOT of people bought it but def not that great, as far as gameplay goes

I really liked the first Super Mario Land game but this was obviously a massive improvement over the first game! I remember this game had a great deal of motion blur on the original green GameBoy screen (looked much better on the GameBoy pocket)

I know, most disappointing game ever I actually sold it on the 2nd day, I might as well have bought a second copy of nsmb ds or wii What angered me even further, was that they virtually ported the entire sountrack of nsmbwii How lazy can u get? Personally, I think both the Mario Land weren't that greater The controls, as you mentioned for the first SML, just didn't feel as tight and precise as the home console Marios, which, perhaps, is understandable considering the Game Boy's limitations Maybe it's just dated But I prefer the Wario Land games, which weren't Mario clones and really came into their own

I'm definitely not trying to start a flame war here, but I'm as big a Mario fan as the next guy, and I must say that Super Mario Land is very good in my opinion Certainly not a contender for the best, but still very good Plus, it's not as different from the series as most think In fact, it reminds me of the series' origin, especially Super Mario Bros it can be seen that Super Mario Land is like the Super Mario Bros of the handheld Marios Anyway, great review

Both super mario lands are good but I would give the gold medal or coin to sml2 which I give a 9/10 SML1 gets a 7/10, which is still a good score I just enjoyed SML2 more that's all

This, Pokémon and the Game Boy Camera were the Game Boy for me I only got to play non-PC games at a cousin's/friend's/etc's house, so it was a big deal for me when I got my Game Boy Color in 1999 This Mario adventure certainly had a health lifespan in my cartridge slot
