Live in NYC paid about 42k for 20 sunpower 435w panels with tilt kit for flat roof tax incentives plus re taxes weren't to bad just want some feedback on price i know it's high thanks

I pay 9699 cents per kilowatt hour to bring it in and get back 7366 cents per kilowatt hour to "sell" it back Am I "lucky"? My electric bill over the last 3 months has averaged around $20 Fingers crossed with 15 panels that have produced 137 MWh since September, 2022

Ok this might seem like a side quest BUT in CA there is new mileage tax because EV don't need gas so there is less gas tax revenue What will be the similar attempt tax grabbing shift in CA in regards to independent power production and storage like with batteries

We still have 1-1 here in Kansas but the electric company uses your last years Billing/Usage as a control line and they stipulate how much solar is permitted for your home based by that last years billing and they say it will not go up if you add more usage like a EV charger later What it means is they don't want you to make any extra electricity over what your own home will normally use

if your grid tied, even if you do not get 1 to 1 form panels, as long as its a plus, it will pay off in end the panels sold these days are very strong and long lasting just never ever lease, or rent battrys will cost, I only bought mine when grid crashed 4 times in 3 months panels will not work unless you got battery back up you will at best break even with batterys I had my panels broke even before I bought my batterys

What about the fact that insurance companies in Florida are requiring us to replace our roofs every 15 years or they drop us Is there any way to get a good ROI when you have to factor that in? BTW, I thought you might give some calculations on how to compute how much we can save :)

You mention net metering 1:1 Do you simply mean it's 1:1 in terms of usage or are you including the payout at the end of the year that they pay the full price for any annual overage? I believe FPL (Florida Power & Light) is 1:1 in terms of usage but not on the annual payout

Grid Tied Electric in the spring and summer is just the basic service charge Sometimes with credit on kwh on the bill to apply to the next bill 🥳 In the winter the bill is nearly $400 😒(less sun hours) IMO don't a lease it buy it You can get a tax credit

Net metering is a joke just store it and use it 3400 for 1 mw no thank you Everyone watching just go offgrid and use a ESS system with grid as a source, no export
