Forgive my ignorance here because I've been out of baseball card collecting since the early '90s, but I can't for the life of me understand how the Kirk Gibson rookie card carries such a high price tag, considering he's never going to make the Hall of Fame and he's mostly remembered today for that World Series homer His career numbers are certainly good, but not really outstanding Since you did this video, we've lost Rickey Henderson and Fernando Valenzuela, so it looks like their cards will be back on the rise again

Had quite a few of these back in the days, kept em in shoe boxes When we moved in the 90s they disappeared My parents were "clearing things out" during the move and I was overseas for summer vacation Came back, never saw them again! Every time my parents cleared things out in the house they seemed to throw some of my stuff out they saw as junk, I was a collectibles hoarder, toys, comics, cards etc (kids stuff back in the day) The stuff they got rid of if I still had them today, I'd be one lucky fellow Usually kids / teens dont take care of their stuff, I would not play and keep my things in mint condition, so I guess my parents saw me as a hoarder who did not play with his stuff, so they threw things out thinking I would not notice, every time they did something like that the experience of having my stuff taken was very disturbing

My takeaway is 2021 was when I should have soldbrEdit: My three big specific memories from collecting in the late 80's early 90's was: 1 - I had 20ish dollar to spend and I bought the Mark McGwire USA instead of the 89 UD Griffey 2 - I opened a Frank Thomas Member's Choice First Day production Stadium Club and immediately traded it for a bunch of older 70's/80's Nolan Ryan's(which I still have today) 3 - My Wally Joyner collection was stolen not that it was financially valuable but I put a lot of time and effort into collecting various Joyner cards, including all of his rookies and one offs/promos, and I never recovered it

I have a giant box probably 2 ft tall 3 ft long full of 80's and 90's baseball, basketball, football and hockey cards, most of them untouched in very good condition Ken Griffey Jr was my favorite player I have over a hundred different cards of just him I have Shaquille O'Neal rookie cards and a million other cards that have just been sitting in that box for well over 25 years but my problem is I have no idea who to bring them to to see what's valuable or not because I do not trust anybody, any recommendations of what I could do?

I purchased 33000 cards at an auction for 800 dollars , they were stored in Coleman coolers and never touched I have boxes of bonds, McGuire, golden, Henderson all in plastic, I don't know cards, should I send them to PSA or sell them without grading ? Thx
