Most businesses lose money during the first year Many businesses do not turn a profit during the first 5 years Even if a business has been profitable for 10 to 20 years, changes in market conditions (labor cost, material cost, technology, decline in sales due to increase in pricing, etc) can result in a business no longer being profitable However, the number one reason for business failure is not having a thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices - especially cost accounting

The problem is always the beginning, when you want to transition from one thing you do to the other and simply have two jobs at the same time I am trying to expand my CNC possibilities (have the shapeoko 5pro) but my rent is $6K, food around $15K, other payments another $1K Not so easy to make $9K per month right away in order to break even at least

You can use a CNC side hustle to boost retirement savings, investing, acquiring cash for larger future purchases like a car or boat etc It doesn't have to be a case of quitting & going all in (especially I'd think if the stuff you want to make is pretty niche) Just my $002 worth lol Also Andy - at 2:10 you have a typo with the word success (think you wanted successful there)
