I think almost all around the world adopt that kind of education,not even useful in workplace need to learn again and it's always depends own the rules and regulations of a certain company, and yet we can't get the job if we are job finished high school/second it should be college graduate,it doesn't matter what course you finished that our country (Philippines),i don't know right now as I'm working overseas

Great explanation My 8 year old son broke it down just as well over 30 years ago I remember pulling up in front of his school to drop him off and he asked if I had ever noticed that public schools look just like prisons I remember thinking what a profound statement it was because he was so right The only thing missing was the 8 ft fence and razor wire, which is not necessary when you are imprisoning minds

I couldn't touch a B in math or science in grade school It was so goddamn boring and the teachers were just robots reading from packets handed to them When i went to get a quick associates deg years later, the crap was so easy because the format was so much different I pulled a 390 gpa without really trying hard It kind of pissed me off about high school in a new way

Absolutely true I learned this about a decade or more ago I decided to keep my kids in public school, but with a total shift in our familial approach to it:brI talk to them every day about what they learnbrI regularly remind them that the school is a state institution, meaning it is nobody's friend, and that I will always have their back against itbrI encourage them to indulge their individuality within reason(don't be disruptive to the learning, be respectful and have manners, etc) brI do instruct my kids on how to navigate the social aspect which school is essentially a training ground for For instance I teach them how to undermine and stress out bad teachers, I teach them how to go about creating confrontation with bullies that are on my kid's terms, how to manipulate the arbitrary rules, social nepotism, and meritless hierarchy to their advantage I use school in general to teach my kids to navigate the treachery of modern society with patience and fearless conviction The state isn't getting obedient drones from my household, they merely provided us with a training ground for our children that we utilize to teach them how to defeat such machinations from within
