I attended a friend's wedding (at Vanajanlinna) in Finland and it seems like a great place to live if you have local contacts We also went to a cabin by the beach for some R&R and sauna Good times :)

To my knowledge , Australia 2nd tier league NBL1 pays similar The club provides accommodation as well but minus that 1 meal a day A lot of oversea players will also train the local kids as their 2nd income It is around 50-70 USD per hour

Consider talking about the option to take an education while playing as a pro I know players who spread out a university degree over their career, as you mentioned, there is a lot of down time

Interesting video! I once met and was able to talk to an American player who played in Europe in the late 2000s What I remembered most was that he played in two leagues a year (Finland and Turkey) because at the time, the seasons were shorter than the normal NBA season IIRC, the seasons outside of the playoffs were 35-40 games a year, rather than 82 in the NBA He was able to play in 2 leagues because the Finnish league was in the summer and the Turkish, in the winter I was wondering if you have that type of opportunity now?
