I'm not sure I follow, although it could just be me taking the wrong message from the videobrbrBecause in this video, it's less about actually learning anatomy and more aboutlearning to copy anatomybrYou're not actually learning how the body is structured or how it interacts, the way I understood this video is that you're tracing other artists' so you can copy what they do without actually understanding how the anatomy worksbrbrSo, I guess it is the easiest way to start drawing anatomy because you're not actually learning anatomy

I like to call imagination or invention as "drawing from memory" that's the core of it You need memories to draw from imagination / invention So it cuts away all the pretense and metaphor To get better from drawing from memory you just have to spend time memorizingbrWhich is taking notes, tracing, testing if you can draw from memory, seeing the mistakes, focusing to find a way to memorize parts which were remembered wrong, repeat till good enoughbrI like to think that to take "notes" to "notice" important details 🥁🎵 At least it forces you to brTalking to another artist through text what you're doing, trying, failing at is also akin to taking notes

One of the easiest way to draw anatomy in my opinion is by using rotoscope You take a photo of yourself and you use it as image reference to draw your character in it

My thing is that i have great anatomy on paper but digitally i use my finger and it just doesn't turn out how i want it Like i know the basic shapes i should lay down and i break down but it turns out kinda wonky? Idk if that makes sense

Doing this alongside slowly learning anatomy is probably the best way to go about learning to drawing the human body Even short, simplified looks at bone structure would take you a long way while doing this I recommend it to anyone who can't be asked to learn anatomy the "traditional" way You get to draw/practice immediately what you want while also reinforcing the "why" which will help things stick longer I'm so motivated to improve rn

Thank you I myself am learning how to draw I think the best way to better learn for me is to go back to basics and trace That way I can get a better image and also have it kept in my notebook In which I can always return to it to study anatomy at any time as well as practice It is a good reminder whenever I am stumped

Tried it at 10, lost all my skill and relied on tracing , (almost end of year 5) , Quit Art Start of year 6?
