In California, the only grant a master’s student can receive is the State University Grant When I apply for Fafsa and it asks me my assets, is there a limit for how many assets I can have to get the state university grant? Meaning, how much would be too much money in my banl account and would prevent me from getting the state university grant? Thank you! Comment from : @kindree5414 |

I got nothing from financial aid except 5600 loans for a 85000 cost They said my parents could afford the whole cost My parents made just over $250k but the 85000 is after taxes money Basically, they ask my parents to spend more than half for my college They also said that scholarship is for needed basis as well I am actually doing some of your options Deferred payment, take extra class, I appealed but no luck I applied over 30 scholarship as well Now my plan is to borrow 50 loans and the rest is from my parents I discussed with my parents and I really wanted to attend this school and they support me but I feel bad that the $ can be used for them to be used for their retirement Comment from : @ty4508 |

About 18 mos ago I read an article about a college student and her friend who were full time students Classes Monday-Thursday They worked InstaCart 8-12hrs a day Friday-Saturday-Sunday They made $3,000 ea a week end They picked a well off area to work, focused on clients who tipped well and appreciated the service Many asked for them so they built a well paying repeat clientele Obviously not everyone will be this successful, not everyone likes to shop so YMMV Comment from : @Freaysclaw56 |
