Hi dear sir! Could you please check one of my writings? "Both students have presented significant points However, I am convinced that climate change is the most urgent threat to life on our planet Central to addressing climate change is reducing greenhouse gases; therefore, the best solution is for all countries to transition their economies away from fossil fuels Extracting non-renewable energy sources, such as coal and gas, leads to more severe temperature changes By investing in renewable energy, such as solar and geothermal power, we can reduce the use of hydrocarbons Moreover, we should protect the oceans, as they play a vital role in regulating climate change Overfishing and discarding plastics harm and damage marine ecosystems Overall, reducing consumption and decreasing the use of plastics and fossil fuels can play a significant role in preventing global warming" Comment from : @NS1224_rb |

Hi Wes, I‘m a German 17 years old student and like many others here I’d like to improve my writing skills Not a long time ago I received the correction of my summary from my English teacher and I got a D The striking problem within my text was apparently mainly the sentences being to long and confusing and also my choice of words For instance I used declare instead of describes and the verb provide is often used to try to elevate my text but instead it makes everything worseFuthermore, My summary was to long in general and I have always a really hard time understanding the core information of a text and differentiate between important and irrelevant information Regarding this problem my question would be what I could do to concentrate on relevant information and to avoid my low self esteem influencing my writing style Thus I say to myself that my text wouldn’t sound academically enough if I left out words like provided extract or declares or utilises Please help me, I would really appreciate your advice! brAdditionally I really love your teaching style and it helps me to understand writing better Since I first stumbled upon your channel I have gained more motivation but my desperation arising from my depression evokes insecurity and I‘m most likely to give up before trying to make a change I hope some of you can relate and maybe help me out Thank you❤ Comment from : @wolfgangbrueckner5644 |
