I love my Martin Logan 12 inch, but as you mentioned, it doesn't sound even in my volted ceiling living room (with a Krell integrated amp and two Bowers and Wilkins 803) I have a HT ST-5000 Sony sound bar, which sounds amazing in my 12/14/12 bedroom just like you said Thanks for the info Comment from : Syd Alan |
I put 2 of those Monolith 16 inch subs in my living room last year and I have 0 regrets They can make an action movie really come to life but also give fast finessed bass in any music They can go to 11 which makes them amazing when only at a 2 Comment from : John C |

I don't understand when a 2500w sub became affordable That doesn't even work on a regular 15A circuit, you need new wiring and a fitting outlet on its own 20A circuit just for the sub, not counting the TV and other speakers lol These are all great for big detached houses or extremely soundproofed rooms as any neighbors will feel these at almost any volume and some of them cost over $1000 Most people listen to stuff on their phone, TV speakers or sound bar, so even $500 speakers are crazy to them Comment from : O&A Fan Videos |

Another questionanother youtuber mentioned that even in a small room, 2 subs are better I live in a small apartment, and I received my Monoprice 8 inch Sub with 1 portwhat advantage would it be for me to have 2 subs? And I got a Fosi Q4 amp that has sub outs for both passive and powered subsif I buy another sub, and it's passive, and I hook it up to the Q4would that work? Would it make sense? Comment from : Robert Spiller |

SVS what? LMAO Comment from : mk4EVOO |

Electrically speaking, no That sub woofer does not need multiple hundreds of watts That is because the coil wingdings of the cone driver simply don't need that much amplitude to modules the drive It's just a number, where higher is not necessarily better Comment from : Jon Disnard |

2 15" Klipsch Sub Woofers 😍 Comment from : Doc Johnson |
I wouldn’t use more than one subwoofer in a room The time arrival of the second sub, will create unwanted frequency cancellations And this will be different for each persons location in the room Rather move the single sub around to help with unwanted standing waves Also, remember a subwoofer is far more efficient with its back against a wall Even more efficient when its located in the corner of a room So moving the sub around should help with unwanted standing waved, but at the expense of decibel efficiency Comment from : Joseph Mandy |
Best home sub Ive ever owned I actually still have It's a 12 inch pinnacle "AC Sub 125" and the whole surround sound is from 2008 Still sounds great though for how old it is! The bass can always be well tuned for different applications Very deep, boomy and punchy for music It does everything I need it to lol Comment from : That One Ford Guy |

I started with a 10" horn loaded, bought a 12", 15" and now have an 18" and building dual 12" with PR I have to say, bigger is just better, more is better, and small subs don't add enough to good speakers to be worth the hassle Horn loaded is cool (I have a Tuba HT in my home gym) but they are SO BIG Now I prefer to put multiple sealed subs, it eats more power but power got cheaper, and it's much easier to build I moved from active to passive subs, really like the flexibility Now everybody is going to 24" so maybe once I can convince my wife in a few years Comment from : Stanislas De Nijs |

It's so wrong to see a white guy in a shirt recite a famous rap song, no hate to you as I'm a white guy too, but it's just WEIRD Comment from : Stanislas De Nijs |

The best subwoofer setup I had was a Polk Audio PSW112 along with a JBL 18 inch PA subbrI used the JBL behind the couch and the Polk sub at the frontbrI had the JBL on running thru a variable crossover so that it was only doing the super low stuffbrThe intro to Independence Day 👌👌👌 Comment from : Aaron Kivell |

Adding a JL Audio E112 changed my life Wifey loves it too Comment from : Denis Barry |
You could've eliminated the first six minutes of the video which really didn't do much Also the size of the room matters all over the world but you didn't really focus on But you did a good job overseas by stating figure subwoofers create a richer sound which was the highlight of the entire video and common sense got me there anyway I own a really big subwoofer and I know it's a lot better than those crappy small ones Comment from : I am puzzleman |
Oh my god so why would I want a bigger versus a smaller subwoofer? This video still hasn't indicated why Wtf Comment from : I am puzzleman |
Oh my God we're five minutes in and still no substance to the video Comment from : I am puzzleman |

I own the SuperSub X - Subwoofer from Golden Ear and absolutely love it Hopefully will add a second one in the near future Highly recommend Golden Ear Comment from : John Dineen |
It's kinda hard to go back to those conventional subs with their boomy boomy sound especially after hearing the speed and agility of a Rel subwoofer! In fact Rels driver's move so fast that they can actually share the same signal as to what's going to the stereos Comment from : total plonker |
Me i always used energy subs on my home system klipsch bought out energy speakers great all around hometheater speaker company Comment from : bryan hamilton |
Yup im from 80s 90s always had a sub i got a powerful sub can do imax kinda bass or like the 90s car subs runs 300 watt amp on the sub i use Comment from : bryan hamilton |

In our country, a 16-incher is still small The standard subwoofer speakers we use are 18-inchers or 21-inchers These enclosed subwoofers are stacked together, 18 subwoofers; 6 per row and 3 per column We have discos during festivals Comment from : Jezonne Serbia |
Love subs and my current favorite and best I've ever owned is the Klipsch R12SW I have one of these in my home office completely tucked away behind my U desk connected to my Klipsch R41PM and wow what an experience When I want casual music or pc audio turn it up fine crystal clear sound but when I want to Feel the BOOM I turn up the sub power on my R41PM remote and Unbelievable Amazing Thing Happen! Shockingly these small R41PMs have no problem keeping up and filling the room with clear mids and highs brBut to the point YES get a subwoofer I always recommend Klipsch but there are many great brandsbrMy main theater setup is a 522 all Klipsch and the two subs are the R10SW which were purchased in 2016 and still rock like new Klipsch is a great product and like those other big brands Your get what you pay for and the longevity comes along with that initial investmentbrSo Yup Get A Sub And Enjoy Your Movies And Music Like You Never Have Before In Your Home! (if you've never had a sub before of course) 🍻 Comment from : Jonpaul D |
So if I have 2x 13" woofers per side , I need a KC62? Comment from : Rennie Ash |

I have a Pioneer subwoofer, it has a crossover setting of 200hz to 50hz, what difference do I get from that setting? Comment from : Ariyanto Anto |
When you realize you overpaid for your teeny crappy speakers You come to the realization that now you have to spend more money on a subwoofer I learned my lesson years ago that's why I buy Towers only They have plenty of base without the need for a subwoofer Thank you very much ! Comment from : Mr Robert |
I currently have my own self-built subwoofer with dual 8" drivers wired to 2 ohm, it can pressurize the room on 10hz at about half volumebrbrmeasurements: 750x375x375mmbrinternal volume (excl bracing and port): 5,9 Ft²brport tuning: 34hzbrwood type: fire wood (I like the sound)brbrthis is why you make your own one hehehe Comment from : YOLOgamer99166 |

Now I have REL and it is great, but when I move to the bigger house I will need to replace it with something bigger and with better quality I think Sveda Audio Wombat will be fine Comment from : Krzysztof S3t |
i'd like two visaton TIW 250 XS in closed boxes with about 70 liter volume with a fine class A amp and a digital crossoverbrit can handle 2x350W peak and has very low distortion and very low losses which means a lot of precision toobrthat precision allows you to easy play up to 400Hz But if you go up that high, you need it positioned very close to the mid-range driver and i would use a vifa ring tweeter for an affordable low distortion sound at the high end these ring tweeters have a distortion characteristic like a tube amp while having insane resolution in the top endbreverything of course with active crossovers to get the best out of itbras an audiophile, a single subwoofer is not an option for me Comment from : Stefan Weilhartner |
As some one who has an SVS ultra 13, all I can say is there's no replacement for displacement Comment from : Tappits84 |
Yeah, 2000 watts without any heatsink Comment from : simcax |
poor explanation, nothing about ported or closed systems, frequencies, dual sub systems, benefit of higher prices ranges compares to lower prices ranged… Comment from : Fermioncool |
I prefer my 2 small 1' cube subs (1500 watts at 16hz-200hz, and 650 watts at 20hz-200hz) I can't stand staring at looking at GIANT speakers and subs which ruin a room's decor Comment from : P T |

Subwoofer are very difficult to setup correctly because of the wave length Basically in order to be able to hear a wave of sound you need to be at least the wavelength distance from the source Soo in order to hear a sub at 30 hz the room needs to be at least 38 feet long the sub has to be a one side of the room by the wall and the listener has to be on the opposite end of the room by the wall With the reduction of the frequency the length of the room needs to grow and this is why it is complete waist of money of buying a large and powerful sub in a small room and this is why only your neighbors will be complaining because actually the sound will be only audible in their apartment Soo keep this in mind when buying a sub brI am adding a link to wave lenght calculator that can show you what frequency will be audible based on wave length and room size If you just want to get your floor to vibrate on alliexpress there are many vibrating modules that will simply shake your floor they are cheap and small don't require a huge box and 2000 watts By the way if the sub was actually 2000 watts it will trip your barker in your house because average 110 volt breaker is only 15 amps so maximum continuous power is only 1650 watts especially if it is peaking at 3000 watts All this number are marketing lies unless you are plug in the sub in to 220 v socket of your oven or drier Comment from : MickyMouseLimited |
