That was a very fine lot--some truly superb specimens Poor Crispus, Constantine's son It ended really poorly for him, and his fate was, it is said, perhaps Constantine's greatest regret I look forward to watching your forthcoming look at the coins of his dynasty that you mention They were absolute savages, particularly to each other Theirs are also pethaps the likeliest coins for newcomers to ancient coins to acquire due to their low cost So, I anticipate great interest

Very interesting I wonder if your Helena piece is Nicomedia or Heraclea In the mintmarks the N for Nicomedia and the H (eta) for Heraclea are practically indistinguishable Interestingly RIC VII Heraclea 79 has officina B, giving us the mintmnark SMHB, but the corresponding RIC VII Nicomedia 95 only lists officinae Γ and Δ, so that RIC does not list this piece with mintmark SMNB Let me know what you think ! I really enjoy trying to identify Roman coins

Currently have one Roman coin Constantine I with the 'signalpost/Campgate reverse' The coin is quite a propoganda coin with a lot of speculation on it's meaning Thanks for the video, very interesting!

Hi Leo, nice coins! The consular bust style employed both for Constantine I, Licinius I and II in the 317-321 coinage of the Licinian empire, is quite interesting and unusual The style was also used for Constantine but neither for Crispus nor Constantine II In AD 318, the consulate went for Licinius Aug and Crispus Caes; in AD 319, for Constantine Aug and Licinius Caes; in 320 for Constantine Aug and Constantine II Caes So they all exercised the consulate in this period, yet just Constantine and the Licinii had consular busts in the coins (all the time)
