Maybe on a PC or Linux Open/Libreoffice is OK, but on the Mac it is as unstable as a Nihonium atom I find TextMaker/PlanMaker to be very lean and reliable replacements, that don't take up 2GB per app as MS Office apps do

Libre Office is better than Microsoft Once you make that switch, you might as well go all the way and ditch Windows for Linux A few years ago I wouldn't have said that, but Linux has made huge strides while Windows goes backwards
