I remember my father took us out from baghdad to be safe we spent month out of baghdad when we came back I remember the fires in baghdad and the destroyed buildings i was a 7 years old I thought how we can rebuild all this destruction i was sad I cried i saw the military of America i saw iraqi tanks destroyed and burned i felt sad although I don’t know who is saddam or who is American just a child with hope that hope vanished when i came back and saw all that i knew there will be no iraq left although a child but I understood that iraq will never recover I don’t know how i knew i just felt that we came out of a bad dictator to a worse thieves who became government now am a 30 years old dentist i see the people in government and there families enjoy iraqi money and wonder when this will ends … Maybe just maybe we see good iraq just before i die !! ???

As a veteran from that initial invat I mean liberation I can tell you that the bridge on Objective Peach AKA Karbala Gap was indeed well guarded As we were crossing the bridge, my vehicle got hit by an RPG Also, I remembered on the gap, we were expecting a chemical attack Also, intelligence had told us that the Iraqis were planning on blowing the dam so the we were wash away into the river as we were crossing I was a young 20 year old Dog Face PFC soldier
