Practically, I found serrated knives not necessary I keep my knives shaving hair sharp so I have no problem cutting tomatoes and so on Even bread is not an issue, except hot, freshly baked bread with hard crust Even just a couple hours later and my sharp chef's knife willdo the trick

Great choice for a knife set, as these three knives make the most sense Sad that hardly anyone sells knife sets exactly like this Yet, if you like these Zwilling Pros you should go for the version with the less-pronounced belly, not the one with this super-curvy blade shown here, as it requires you to lift the knife uncomfortably high for cutting in a rocking motion

Me, a dude with sizeable hands: I just use a 10" Zwilling Pro for everything For bread, I start by stabbing through it while sorta shaking the blade to not flatten itbrbrBasically, chef's knife is the one you want most if you're not able to afford a set (albeit that 3P set cost $20 less than my larger Chef's knife, thus why my mother got the set for xmas)

100 percent all you need is a "chef" knife, a pairing knife, and a knife with wider serrations (i've found tight serrations bind a lot more)brbrAnd don't forget the pinch grip or they are useless

Despite what he says, never cut towards yourself Ever! Put it on a board and cut away from yourself I was peeling a lime when the brand new blade rushed through the lime and into my thumb till it bounced off bone 12 stitches and 500$ later my thumb was wrapped up like a mummy 2 months to heal while still having to cook Just don't do it

I agree with you that people need a chefs knife and a paring knife But instead of a serrated life I’d personally go with a filet knife instead I don’t like serrated knives because they’re a pain to sharpen I also clean and cook a large amount of fish, so I would use the filet knife more
