Hi Tony Please I have questions: br1- if the patientbrhas Medicare and does not have a secondary insurance, Medicare will pay me 80brof the allowed amount and do I need to collect the 20 from the pt? It would be the co-insurance you are talking about? br2- How would I collect the deductible from the patient if the patient will pay that to Medicare? Thanks for the clarification Tony! Thank you very much I have had a written policy for my clients to sign an agreement to allow my practice to collect the Medicare deductible (if applicable), though it is not conditional for assessment and treatment As far as coinsurance I typically go by the EOBs from MC if they do not have a supplement or secondary plan and I am up front about that I always at this point handle on case by case basis; for example I may ask them if they want to pay by the week, etc Comment from : @michaelhylanddpt
