All these Americans hoping for Tariff against Canada and Mexico obviously don't have a clue how Tariffs work, Just a small example If an American company buy 2 bags of candy form a Canadian or Mexico Based company, the American Importer pays the tariff on the goods imported SO the Importer raises the price on the 2 bags of candy to account for the increased price of the tariff, this item is not worth more to the American Consumer, Good Job MR Trump

For God's sake It is as simple as this: the company that imports goods from abroad to sell them in Murrica has to pay the tariff, consequently, it has to pass that cost on to consumers Why can't the evil foreign producer be punished with tariffs? Simple: The tariff is paid by the importer and not by the foreign producing factory because the tax is applied at the time the merchandise enters the destination country, not in the country of origin
