I like my Oyster for a few reasons The fewer times I bring my credit/debit cards out the better If you lose your Oyster cardthat's all you've lost Also, I've had the same one since about 2015 so it's like as long as I have it, it means I'm going to go back! :-)

If you're using a debit card on the tube, always use the same card throughout the day The system will apply the daily fare cap automatically if you're using the same card each time If you use a different card the system wont know it's you and you'll get charged more

When you use your credit/debit card, in my case, always use local currency instead of US Dollars forexample Otherwise, you will be charged a dynamic conversion fee
