It's surprising how hard all KTP games (not only TSC) explore the "kill the past" theme, you could literally point to any character there and this person would be dealing with their past and the events that shaped them as a person in a different way Those who fight their past or use it to redefine themself are those who succeed, and those who are stuck reminiscing about the past tend to be weighed down by it and are at best miserable, at worst get killed by their past themselves Kusabi does pretty well for himself from what I remember with his life philosophy of not giving a damn, his past includedbrDamn, I'd go as far as to say that Kusabi maybe only tries to lend money from people he sees as those who are without a future due to that, because he wouldn't need to pay it back or maybe to give them a reason to live?
