I'm not sure which route to take I'm currently living in a very nice tiny/mid size house I built in the woods on 40 acres, and plan to stay here a very long time It was all out of pocket, so now I have no mortgage or rent, my truck is paid off, and I have zero cc or any other kind of debt All that's left is investments, utilities, insurance, food, and the other little things in life we need brbrI have some investments in IRAs, index funds, individual stocks, etc but I've been wanting to get started in rental properties My plan is to get something with multiple units, 2-4 Since they are not so easy to find, I was thinking of looking for a house with the right layout that it could be turned into a duplexbrbrThing is I've never bought a house So I'm wondering, should I use the first time home buyer deal for the lower downpayment, but causes me to have to live there for a year; or do I just keep saving until I can reach that 10-20 area, and miss out on the first time buyer deal? I’m at a 720, but I can’t seem to pay off one credit card, and I pay off double my suggested (minimum) which is $200, so I keep paying around $400 (200 twice a month/each check, because that’s all I can spare), but I get charged $200 each month on top of that for interest, so I’m technically still paying off the minimum… and it stays the same… Comment from : @justinguarino201 |
