Hi Bear and subscribers, I am considering purchasing a Simpson PowerShot PS 3228 / 3,300 PSI 25 GPM, mostly for home jobs Do you overall recommend it? Is the triplex pump really a concern? Thanks! Comment from : @MarceloOliveira-c6x |
|
Two extremely important things to consider when buying a pressure washer, your water flow rate from your water source (facet) has to match or exceed what the machine is rated at and you cannot run the unit more than a minute without spraying water or you'll burn the pump up Comment from : @mikemurray2298 |

I thought you were doing dollar store reviews Comment from : @RobertKinne-lh8wn |

Simpson 3600 psi w Honda engine working like new 4 years later Made in USA and parts, if needed, appear easy to find $380 in 2020 brFully recommend getting one of the rotary sprayers, (12 or 15" spray pattern), if cleaning drives, large flat painted surfaces, et ceterabrSometimes it helps to soak the area with low pressure water and maybe some detergent before hitting with the high pressure spray Comment from : @somaday2595 |
|
I was told anythign under 4gallons per minute Was not good Comment from : @juliomurillo511 |

❌❌purchase this exact rig brand new! Pump lasted one day Simpson on a Honda engine Pump is throwing your money away! Comment from : @DB-cx6cb |
|
I called Westinghouse for a size of a penny part and a week later after a bunch of emails they told me all the parts are made overseas and they don't share a parts list lmao So basically it's a Frankenstein company I know most Lowes and Depot pressure washers are made by Simpson and other real pressure washing companies with cheaper parts, but not even a simple parts list? Horrible Comment from : @Jay-Kaizo |
|
I cannot BELIEVE someone exploited a wild animal and taught it how to analyze pressure washers The nerve of some people Comment from : @michaelfarrell8962 |

I have this Craftsman 2800 washer, about 2 years old Run it 6 months ago Now, doesn't run, won't start; piece of crap Comment from : @tomscroggin6582 |

First off all pressure washers can produce 2500 3000/3500 PSI Regardless if they're 25 gallons per minute or 15 gallons per minute So you need to stop talking about something you don't know anything about Pressure is good, but is the gallons per minute the does the cleaning Play clearly you don't know that and you don't know what you're talking about Each and every one of those pressure washers are garbage You could buy a harbor freight engine 56 or even 8 gal per minute pressure washer To get a lot more out of it By simply buying tips to change the pressure is all you need to do A 6 gallon per minute pressure washer Buy tips for an 8 gal pressure washer You can drop the pressure from 3,000 PSI down to 2000 PSI So you don't know what you're talking about when you're doing a review of something Comment from : @jago5300 |

Any electric pressure washers in the 3-5k psi worth buying that live up to that rating? I have a gas 2800 psi with Honda GCV engine thinking it would last but each year it has gotten more difficult to start Like to get something comparable in performance in electric without breaking the bank Buy a Honda engine they said…easy to start they said…it will last they said That was true for 1 year Comment from : @rednroll1 |

Thank you, talking bear I just bought a Simpson 3100 psi at Farm & Fleet, still unpacking it at the moment I'll be using it for residential and general cleaning I'm really glad to hear your comments about Simpson I bought it because I'm tired of the crapshoot of renting from home depot Got a bad one yesterday, they took it back and refunded my deposit, but I still wasted half the day I feel confident I bought the right pressure washer for my handyman business Take care! I am not ready for CRX engines as of today Comment from : @jamesmorris7803 |

Most homeowners don't want to mess with a gas engine nor do they need tobrThere are electic models that perform nearly as well, and are fine for household usebrThe cheaper units are all disposable with a lifespan of 100- 200 hoursbrAll of the units up to around $700 use axial pumps that are not re-buildable, and even the triplex pumps if they are made out of aluminum have a limited lifespanbrUnits with brass triplex pumps come in around a grand or so and have a very long life even under commercial use Comment from : @fubartotale3389 |

As a professional plumber and a pressure washer fanatic if you’re buying a pressure washer over 3000 psi make sure it has a water discharge for the pump if you don’t at 4000 P you’ll kill that pump when you turn it off because the water is not flowing through the unit it’s bad for it and it cooks the pistons and the bushings and all that stuff inside of the head of the unit Make sure you do research about this because I did a lot of frustrating things with pressure washers that burned up pumps and it’s very expensive when they blow up especially when you’re spending over $2000 on something Comment from : @electroluxlad |
|

I will never again buy a Ryobi pressure washer The one I bought had an idler feature on the Honda engine that malfunctioned It caused the pressure to fluctuate and even caused the engine to high rev several times It was the worst $450 I've ever spent on one The funny thing is that I left it in the driveway one day and someone stole it I hope they enjoy their headache that's if it didn't blow up and kill them in the process Comment from : @squirrel_82 |
