A great starter video for sketching Having been an engineer for most my adult life, "thinking" through computer in AutoCAD has been my MO for putting ideas into practice But somehow I feel incomplete and wanted to put ideas on paper and started researching on sketching This has been not only informative but also motivating as to how simply you broke it down You made an engineer like me to become an artist, by saying it is all circles, squares and triangles and practice of observing things, as I can relate Good luck with your journey

I used to draw in high school (20 years ago), but I stopped for a while When I started drawing again, I became more of a perfectionist and frustrated when I couldn't get the drawing to look correct I'm thinking about drawing again, but I'm worried I'll become frustrated because I'm not figuring it out I used to cross-stitch, too I haven't done any of it in years I have plenty of time I want to learn to crochet, but the YouTube videos make it look confusing

Thank you for that lesson Julia It might have just given me some hope and energy to try my handbrbrI remember a very painful incident when I was 10 years old Our teacher had given us a sheet of paper and told us to draw anything we liked I really got into it and covered the paper with (probably very badly) drawn ships, planes and other things I really concentrated and worked hard After I finished I took my picture to the teacher and, to this day remember exactly what she said, 'Well, that was a waste of a sheet of paper wasn't it?' I was heart broken! I had poured my heart and soul into that drawing and felt so proud of what I'd done Clearly she wasn't She probably didn't realise how devastating her statement had been but I remember swearing never to try and draw again - I really did make that oath! brbrNow, aged 72, I have decide to break that oath and would like to try and learn SO, I will grab some paper and try and follow your suggestionsbrbrThanks again!
