I think that taking your own path is very important Comparing to others in the major is useless In technical school there is a lot of people that don't care about vocational subjects (tf are they here?) To succeed in engineering i think is the regular learning towards the topics It's still better than doing nothing and studying for hours straight You can't be not giving shit but you shouldn't overwork either The hard thing is to work effectively under the pressure and don't quit But some of the pressure is taken by ourselves and we need not to think about it Yeah I need to improve my English (hope y'all understand something) Comment from : @RivloGruby |

I am an EE and the inventor of the Self-Contained Ion Powered Aircraft, it's the only ion thruster that can lift its power supply vertically against Earth's gravity! I am happy with my degree but really need to find more work doing consulting in this field Comment from : @KraussEMUS1 |

I hate EE my dad made me do it but i Hate it with my life Im decent at it tho, im getting good grades and stuff but when it comes to making projects and stuff I cant stand it I actaully hate this stuff with my life Im a senior and yet to have an internship I have no real projects and when I try to get started on one, I cant get myself to do it Idk what to do Ali I dont really enjoy it, I dont even wanna get a job in it Also I feel as if there is too much competition and as the field keeps evolving, I feel as if it just gets more and more head hurting Comment from : @karlord3274 |

You all suck at seeing design flaws This generation of electric engineers made the world worse and technology is getting more and more frustrating to use Is it because you all also suck at scoring with women you’re all pious and can’t still own your own flaws? I am an electrical / electronic engineer It blows, you better grow a new cerebralcortex frontal lobe you'll need it I love electronic engineering I am good at it, but in the technical world it is very, very hard, everyday, if you have a problem there is no one on earth you can call Get a brain dead mechanical engineer job, same money , it's easy, and understandable, and you'll have time to use the rest room Best wishes Comment from : @walterspaceman5592 |

let me tell you that what you call "bs sales & marketing" is a lot like saying "bs engineering" or similar in that while some is bs, some of it is incredibly sophisticated to the point that it would take years of study before you can begin to understand the mechanics of the system, let alone replicate the effects in a greenfield applicationbr I too was an engineer who became a businessman, sales engineer, etc I engineer business the same way you would a new device There are some operators out here who have been doing it on a scale most couldnt understand because it is so sophisticated, but it involves at least the same level of principled thinking, modeling, design, testing, etc that all the other engineering disciplines use in their respective fields 🤓 Comment from : @tigerstallion |

Please, please, please advocate for the US to harden the gird EE's to demand that this is done! If the people that know make a big deal about it the rest of us will follow Comment from : @patrickthames8853 |
|
|
4:03 this is keybrbrThe demand for EE skills is not growing but it is not shrinking either That means it’ll be more competitive to get jobs but the jobs aren’t disappearing That is true in any field (that hasn’t been automated/obsoleted lol)brbrIt’s just unfortunate because a few decades ago, just getting a degree was the challenge Jobs were plentiful Comment from : @mecanuktutorials6476 |
|
|
Would you say that a math degree or a computer science degree also teaches you transferable skills? Comment from : @manofsteel9051 |

Love the idea but 1000 disagree with the contentbrAs someone who has been working as an EE professionally for years, here is what I learnedbrMy EE degree taught me the math and science but did not teach design, problem solving, prioritization, documentation, communication, part specifying and all the other skills that go into designing a product This has to be learned by doing a project or on the job brSchool will not prepare you for a real eng job, but your work ethic and passion will Comment from : @Mad_Bun |

I'm in my last year of HS (with A-levels), my options for pursuing EE or CE is severely limited because I didn't take A-level maths or physics, but I've found some Unis that can still accept what I have, and I hope I can make it I'll comment again if I end up landing on EE/CE for uni Comment from : @p99chan99 |

Make a video if the university you go to matters Because essentially the content taught at each university is roughly similar, and nowadays employers look not only at degree but experience and confidence/social skills Comment from : @McFlashh |
