One thing I’ve definitely found helpful is to actually look at college curriculum to find what’s usually a prerequisite to doing a course Usually you can get by without some of them, but it’s also helpful to keep in mind what kind of course you’re trying to self-study For example, if you want to get into Abstract Algebra, I’d probably look for something with good proofs and maybe something with Elementary Number Theory (on that note - “Number Theory” by George Andrew’s is a great book!) first, as both of those are prerequisites

If someone is planning to self-study maths i think they are smart enough to be so confident that they can even do it to begin with and not completely give up and remember your teacher angrily yelled at you telling you that you will never get gud at maths right after his wife cheated on him and agree with him at the first minute

The thing here is that you can learn it deeply but the manipulation and application of your knowledge in the most abstract manner is what makes physics and math so difficult Looking forward for a video on it
