This is exactly how my store works I have a 250 store of everything I list 4 to 5 per day & average 43 sales a day at £27 per item I source items at car boot sales with high ROI & good sell through I make a full time living off a 250 item store

Why not do thousands in revenue per day, instead of staying lean? As long as you can implement the proper systems, this seems like the best strategy

I don't understand why you think that listing an item with a phone is slower than on a desktop I think it's quicker with my phone with the ebay app because I can take and save photos with it right away and I have my presets for shipping, so it's fast On a computer I would have to upload all my photos and associate them with each item, it takes longer and there are risks of mixing photos of items

Okay so I have 430 listings in my store I list 5 items a day only like 3-4 days a week I’ve sold 6 items this week For a total of $171 after shipping and fees So $3420 CPI So basically 1 thing a day Sometimes it’s 2 what can I do to have more sells or what should I be doing?

@dailyrefinement Thank you for this I am researching starting an eBay store to replace my 9 to 5 (major burnout) I have run a business before (in a previous marriage) and know that a solid business plan is essential You have explained the eBay reseller plan so succinctly and clearly I feel confident I can implement this plan and I especially like your advice to spend no money until profits allow reinvestment I have been concerned about the possibility of drowning in clutter, so keeping a manageable amount in an organized manner appeals to me I do plan to spend a modest amount on some equipment: scale, shipping material, and materials to create a makeshift photography “studio” (white paint and a hook on the wall 😂) I am all about work-life balance and my goal is to find the perfect size small to medium store that allows me to achieve that Many blessings on all you set your hand to 🙏

Awesome video I'm currently tiny In the last 90 days I've sold 102 items and am sitting at 94 listings Recently I was happy to finally reach the 100 listing mark because I kept selling items and it would knock my total down My COG are really low, but I'm now working on getting my average sale numbers higher Because my COG is so low, I'm finding I'm taking less per item That whole fast nickle concept It's a catch 22 in the long run

I spent my first two years going through these same exact motions I’ve since found a US Supplier and I am crushing it with just 191 items averaging about 4 sales a day that very across the store or there is not a single item in my store that hasn’t sold at least a couple of times Some in higher demand than others Before anyone criticizes I only have 191 item’s because simultaneously I’ve built my own website containing over 5000 items from my product vendor that we just launched I’ve said all this to get to my question which is brAs outstanding as my photos are and as detailed as my descriptions are I still get returns from buyers that obviously don’t look at or read anything It’s really more of a nuisance than anything I will block some and others made a honest mistake and will immediately turn around and buy what they needed in the first place With all that, Do any of y’all have any suggestions on how to further reduce my return rate?

This is exactly what I needed I've been at the "small seller" level for a few years due to losing motivation & therefore being very inconsistent It's really frustrating when I see other sellers (who have been selling for a much shorter period than I have) selling more items in a single day than I do in a single month (if I'm having a decent month) Trying to replicate their process hasn't been working for me Trying to list way more than what I've been selling hasn't been giving me the results I hoped for I have good products (mostly vintage) & most of the items I have listed are items that other sellers have successfully sold at either the same, slightly higher, or slightly lower prices I've recently been working on my titles and pictures & I've been seeing some small improvements in the number of sales & a huge increase in impressions from promoting my listings I don't sell enough to justify opening a store right now I am in need of a strategy to get on the right path & this is the one I will follow Luckily, I have plenty of things to sell out of my own home & only go sourcing a few times a year so I'm not spending very much money Pretty much everything I sell is 100 profit but I want steady sales so I can move on to the next level of selling!

Instead of telling everyone to go and buy buy buy and fill a room up , and Not even get consistent sales or realize it's not for them and they get stuck with a bunch of crap and wasted time and money Ive been researching for Decades , 80 of the time I know the value within a split second I really feel like researching the markets and data is the first thing people should de , as they practice and learn by selling at the same time It takes years to develope the strategies, Logistics, And not every item is created equal , and not every item is going to be as enjoyable to sell as another Space, Time, Money, Life / Work Balance and Passion these must be in order before anything
