One benefit of the laser rangefinder they overlooked - gps doesn’t do anything for you on the driving range All the ranges around here are horrible for telling the distance to each flag, or they act like every tee box is the same distance to each flag Comment from : @KSigsGolfer |

I use also both, laser and watch, and in my opinion watch is very convenient Eg Garmin S40 or Apple Watch with Arccos Very fast and easy to get accurate yardages (or meters in my case) I rarely use or need to use laser, usually only when some really specific obstacle or hazard like water, ditch, bunker etc which usually watches show too Comment from : @pekkalaaksonen8384 |

Heard rumors that one of the major companies is working on a small GPS position transmitter that fits onto the top of existing flagsticks They also work on a universal software interface so that the position signal can be picked up by GPS watches, smartphone golf apps and GPS screens on electric trolleys to show the exact pin position on the green That would be a fantastic feature! i have to see layups i need to know my layup distances i like to leave myself 100 or 150 if i cant make it to the green comfortably Comment from : @tylerfj24 |

I used to use a hand held range finder but have purchased a Garmin S60 Approach and love it If you sometimes zigzag your way up a fairway like I do, the range finder can be a bit useless as it requires line of sight to the flag which may be obstructed This is never a problem with the watch as it has a flag compass arrangement which will give you exact pin direction even when obscured Each to their own though because I can see benefits of both but as I’m a mid handicap player, centre of green is all I need Comment from : @granthodges9860 |

I used my Garmin Fenix 6 watch as use it for multisport use so kills all birds with one stone Comment from : @garylennie3815 |

I use Hole19 on my Apple Watch for F/M/B green yardages and it also shows maps on the app on my phone, do you have reviews of the different apps for phones/watches? Comment from : @gibrcyork |

I have tried most things from Lasers to GPS, phones to watches, I have settled on the Garmin S62 watch and CT10 sensors, I found laser range finders too unstable, I have a Garmin G80 I don't use other than as a launch monitor, I still have Arccos sensors boxed back up ready to sell when I get round to it, I have tried various apps on my phone, but the Garmin S62 and CT10 sensors do everything I need, they give me my yardage and track my shots and I wear it as an everyday watch Comment from : @roblaidlaw4884 |

I use the Inesis 900 mostly and Garmin G10 and when there is no view I use an app on my telephone to see the lay-out of the course Comment from : @motormuisdl650 |

I use both a Bushnell Laser and a Garmin 20 watch, I like knowing the distance to the back of the green and can keep score and track my shot yardage with the watch But love the accuracy of the distance to the pin with the laser Comment from : @bobbyk3469 |
I use a GOLFER 2 SE made by Tom Tom, does what I need Comment from : @markdunn8038 |

Garmin G10it's a clip on version of their basic watch (I haven't worn a watch since small mobile phones hit the market) You can move the pin on the green and I have found it to be at most 1-2 yards off the yardage my playing partner's range finders are giving -- which is way more accurate than my shot making Keeping score, fairways hit, putts/GIR stats, and the matching web service are really nice features (I'd like a bit more data collection but that probably means Arccos or the like) Note: if you track your index, Garmin is missing the ability to upload the scorecard into your course's/association's official handicap tracker Comment from : @massspike |
Hi,Find that using the long view on the course is greatyards like to do it ,old sckoll thank you Comment from : @robertsolachnek7493 |

I just bought the voice buddy and I’m very happy with it Comment from : @aussiegolfer2919 |

To be honest 95 of golfers aren't good enough to to hit the ball within a yard of the target, meaning GPS is easier, quicker and more than adequate If I was elite, it would be rangefinder all the way As I'm crap, GPS is the way forward! Comment from : @simonh2011 |
I use a bushnell when in the scoring yardages and Golfshot on my Apple watch for general distances and keeping score Best of both worlds Comment from : @nickhopper3602 |
