If you can't get an accurate lazer line to the flag because its blocked by trees or whatever you shouldn't be trying to go for the green anyway

I love my Garmin Fenix 5x plus (watch) but I can't seem to work out how to get bunker/hazard distances I only get front/middle/back of green Maybe it's the app maybe it's the watch I'm not sure Any ideas?

How about an Apple Watch using an app like GolfShot? You get both phone app with course layout plus a gps watch It has been amazing for me on the course plus tracking lots of other stats on top of your score and even auto shot tracking!

I'm using a GPS app on my phone but seriously considering switching to a watch purely for convenience sake I play off a high handicap so the pinpoint accuracy of the laser is not necessarily a great help In a competition round recently I played with a 22 handicapper who used a laser however despite shooting an accurate distance he was unable to play to that number so either air mailed the green or finished 10-15 metres short

There is no pro using a watch They weight at least 50 gr and it effects the speed of your swing In my case, driver with watch 10 yards less distance I use an app on a small phone Not on my daily phone and i am very happy with the app The phone I use also as a ball marker if not in the way and I while waiting 20 feet away I get a good feeling for the putting distance because you see your phone and the hole easierand I easily can track my score

Great video I use a rangefinder and a watch In winter the rangefinder is very useful for temporary greens etc The only downside is it doesn't work well in foggy conditions or rain Keep up the good work

I almost got a watch yesterday and I wish I would have seen this video because I would have pulled the trigger I have an Apple Watch but most apps require you to put in the score before it will change holes Pretty annoying because I keep score on a paper card

Love my ShotScope G5! Previously used the phone GPS, Cart GPS or rangefinder They all work but the watch is so much faster and I didn't catch myself fiddling all round like I do with the phone The only issue I ran into was getting distances for my layup shots on dog legs Still needed the rangefinder or cart gps for that

I use an older Garmin watch I tried an app, but when I was no longer able to record my score from my Apple Watch I stopped using it I think the golf GPS watch is great I believe the newer Garmin watches also give a view of the hole layout, which mine does not Another benefit is that it is fast Pace of play can be a real issue - 5 hours for a casual round is ridiculous The watch allows for quick yardage information vs having to stop and laser all the time I’ve had playing partners who do this and it can really slow down a round

I have the Garmin S12 and I love it and I particularly like how it links to my phone and automatically stores all my scorecards but that said it has failed to load the course for me a couple of times on courses it had previously worked on and left me blind for the round and there has been times when I wish I had a rangefinder, but all in all I am really happy with it

It's all useful, but none are convenient The phone is good, but you have to carry a phone in the pocket The watch is the most inconvenient, unless you want to ware 2 watches The Smart watch have all the health data that is more important, like the heart rate, SPO2, exercise data the range finder is good, still have to carry it with you other GPS device are exactly the same Useful, but just inconvenient

I use Arccos and my Apple Watch Arccos has the sensors that allow for analytics, and my watch mitigates the need to have my phone in my pocket when swinging Apple Watch Series 6 and above provide excellent battery life for a round You can also use the course map feature on your phone (similar to Shotscope) if preferred

Having used the three tech, here’re my 2 pence Also serves as my rankingbrbrGps watch - very convenientbrLaser - most accurate but may take a bit of time using Might not be suited for high handicappers as our shot distances (and direction) are not that accurate to begin withbrPhone - very cumbersome Same funcionality as the gps watch

I have the Shot Scope H4 GPS/Tracker and Pro LX Rangefinder The GPS is great for quick info and tracking my rounds has given me great insight on what I need to work on Having the rangefinder is great for finding the distance to something that might not show up on a GPS, like a random tree, or the group in front of you The only real advantage, I would say, that a phone app would have is looking at the over course layout I'm looking forward to trying out Shot Scope's MyStrategy
