I know this is a bit older, but my seven year old daughter Elizabeth is very good at writing and identifying letters, it's just getting her to put them and the sounds together For example she can do simple words(cat, dog, Bob, etc) But she seems to have a disconnect with the phonics and letter sounds in larger words,(house, foot,) I was wondering what my wife and I could do to support her, we have no parents or others to turn to for support or better understanding, and was very concerned as I feel responsible and like I'm letting her down by being unable to adequately teach her
