Why is this an issue? Seems like it's a contrived one to divide the country Comment from : @KingFisher-v1i |
Ask yourself a question why would you invite into your country hordes of Asians to enrich themselves in a country they didn’t build and whose people vote against the interests of the American people its madness 🤔 Comment from : @maximillianphoenix9374 |
Saving face is very important to most Asian people, we might look like we’re rich, but we’re just fronting, we got nothing in our stomach 😁 But like many others, we know the value of hard work and we keep at it until our situation actually match our appearance, hopefully 🤞🏼 Anyway, I got to get back to my 3 jobs so that I can fight for the check at the next family get together 🤣 Comment from : @EPluribusUnumSemper |
because asians know what poverty is and so they nurture their children instead and give their children the best education there is while parents sacrifice everythingbecause they know in time, they will be honored Comment from : @yunablu6241 |

In a country that always divide people by race, everything seems to be a problem, but the reality is just so simple: Those with more talent, ability, and work harder earn more That's common sense Now, there's another way to earn alot, and that's corruption And again, those with talent in deception and have no moral compass earn more too Just look at the US government Comment from : @tomsd8656 |

Let's see the Asian community go through a RED SUMMER and see how they bounce back Comment from : @paulsheppard1108 |

The comparison is wrong You're comparing talented people from India who come to the US, to the whole general US population It's just not fair and is wrong You should compare Indian people to the top performers in the US who are in STEM They are almost equal and/or Americans are far better performers in that sense Comment from : @Abc-px3rm |

Why is CNBC youtube channel so obsessed with income inequality these days I don't get it Comment from : @MrMountain707 |
From what I’ve seen, this income gap stems from recent immigrants with no education vs those who are American-born with good education or educated immigrants Of course recent, uneducated immigrants bring in less income because they can’t have highly skilled jobs, don’t speak English well, or have less opportunities — hence the income inequality However, they tend to climb the socioeconomic ladder really quickly due to their hardworking culture Asian parents also invest heavily on their children and expect them to support them after, because they nurtured their children to adulthood An income gap isn’t really an issue to us Asians because we’ll eventually climb out My Asian friends and SO who grew up in the projects made it out by getting college diplomas and working hard at their corporate jobs So this begs the question, why can’t other “victimized” groups do the same? Oh yeah, because of bad family structures, idolization of crime, and complaining about their problems with protests instead of doing something meaningful with all that energy lol Comment from : @xRoid1 |
What's wrong with lumping all Asian Americans into a group???? We lumped all Americans of European descent as "white" and all brown people as "Hispanics " Comment from : @Aikynbreusov |
Yeah the Burmese are on the low end of household income for Asian Americans because they are recent refugees to the USA the southeast Asian refugees who came to the USA in the aftermath of the Vietnam War were also started on the low end of the USA household income toofast forward to 2020 US Census, these Vietnam War refugees have household income that already surpassed the USA median household income out of these Vietnam War refugee groups, the Vietnamese were at the top and the Hmong were at the bottom of the houseld income brackets Now the Hmong already surpassed the Vietnamese in terms of median household income leaving the Laotians and Csmbodians in the dust median Household income for Hmong-Americans is right there next to Korean-Americans in 10 years when USA census 2030 result comes out, the Hmong-Americans will surpass the Korean-Americans too Comment from : @Aikynbreusov |

I wouldn't be overly worried about Asians in general We're not the sort to wallow in self pity and victimhood Struggling to make a better life is in our blood If only my black friends had an ounce of such determination to succeed and escape their own poverty Comment from : @jdshl8423 |

ASIAN-AMERICAN 👊👊👊 Comment from : @niltondossantos2793 |

I worked three jobs while in college full-time 20 years ago with a scholarship I’m a African American All racial groups suffer from income inequality in this country Life is difficult in America and nothing comes easy—even here There are many barriers and many people to compete with to ensure one’s survival (let alone thrive), that’s the nature of capitalism However, if you work hard, apply yourself and try a variety of avenues to obtain success, the rewards can be far greater than in other countries Comment from : @yasip9897 |
The income gap is spreading in any racial groups In South Africa, once was the colonialist/exploitist White people are now living in the ghettos and poverty Comment from : @Truthseeker371 |
The majority of Asian-Americans are of Chinese, Indian and Filipino descent, most whom (or whose parents/grandparents) were professionals, educated and business people in their home countries But Asian-American sociologists always cite the incomes and careers of the relatively few Hmong, Cambodian and Laotian refugees to dispel the "model minority" myth, as a way to do away with affirmative action at elite universities and in the workplace Instead, they should just tackle the issue head on: that quotas are unfair, unjust and discriminatory Comment from : @rivertonhigh-v4t |
Indian Americans have to be stuck in limbo without green card brbrWhile Burmese, Filipinos get green card easily Comment from : @TheAlchemist1089 |

Its very sad that that Myanmar girl who works three jobs while attending Queen's college would be attending Harvard on a full scholarship if she was Black or Hispanic She's dirt poor and the provider for her family, yet Affirmative Action prefers her over Obama's daughter How infuriating Comment from : @xcqematic1 |

Asians success in the US is possible due to the sacrifices our parents made, they worked hard so we could focus on studying and bettering our selves Comment from : @prodigy7407 |
This is exactly why we need to abolish Race Based College Admissions in the United States Race based college admissions treat Asians as a monolith and hurt struggling Asian communities Instead of race, colleges need to focus on the individual’s social economics Comment from : @shirleyjung5848 |

I think south asians and east asians should be separated out I as an Indian man don’t see my self as one bit Asian And both groups are arguably very racist towards each other I think we can really see a much more clearer picture of which group is accumulating more resources in America and how useful they are to the country Comment from : @AVirk |
