 So, let's just hear out everyone, as that is what you would get in a real world, and thru which we each learn to sharpen our own wits For a true education, students must learn to think well for themselves, and it's not gonna get done by filtering all the info by merely so-called experts or scholars - including the NYT We all need to learn to protect ourselves - including even from the usual fools and villains But most beware of those who appoint themselves to "protect" the rest of us

 Though objectivity should always be urged from everyone, you really can't expect it from everyone So, let's agree not to always ABSOLUTELY demand 'objectivity', but for something more realistic: a plurality in a marketplace of views and ideas, because EVERYONE likes to believe that THEY own the objective truth, whether they be scholars, lay people or charlatans

 Allow scholars from conservative, liberal, Democrats, and Republicans, as well as other views to talk to kids without interruption and with equal time on points I think having this in school texts, and banning teachers and schools from pushing any view would be far more helpful

 I believe that as many media sources as possible should be made available for use as teaching aides, as it seems the most effective way for all of us, including students, to recognize that there can be as many views and ideas as there are sources, and that the most robust and confident thinking results from the broadest exposures, including even to so called 'propaganda' It's when we suppress 'sources' that we are at greatest risk of operating under incomplete or distorted evidence

 I don't believe any news media source should be used as a teaching aide, as we have enough tainted teachings in school Kids need to have an open venue to learn from, not more forced political propaganda shoved down their throats
