Thanks for the recipe I was just wandering if one should use Benzaldehyde instead of Almond Extract and Ethyl Vanillin Essence, since I guess the Extracts would make it cloudy? Almonds are 99 Benzaldehyde, so basically one doesnt miss any falvour (Just my guess) Comment from : @exohumer3486 |

German guy here, just starting I have 5 batches of liqueur, made with green walnuts Talking simple sirup: while the 1:1 ratio is easy peasy, I find the 2 sugar: 1 water ratio difficult to handle, as soon as it is cooled to room temp It should be mixed in immediately Fun twist: one recipe calls for a simple sirup 1:1 ratio with white wine!brI like to use vanilla beans But the prices for one do vary from 1,50€ to 6,50€ I once wanted to buy one in the US The store-manager proudly offered me one for 10$ Uuughbr(I had friends from Germany send one to me, plus some Marabou chocolate for my mousse au chocolate 🙂brJust so you folks know what to bring, when visiting the US LOL Current price for a 100g bar of Ritter Sport that is 1,49€ or 1,69€ in Germany is 5,50$ in Lawrence, KS brGreetings from the far north of Germany!
